This last weekend I finally watched A Single Man which was directed by Tom Ford and released in 2009. It's a piece set in Santa Monica in the 1960's about a professor who suffers the loss of his partner and struggles to cope with life. Colin Firth and Juilanne Moore are both amazing in it (it's hard to remember a movie from either of them I didn't like). The styling is gorgeous and the story line both provocative and important. It has been a long time since I saw a movie that was this beautifully shot and written.
